Lexiquest 2023 is the next rated tournament (Pending Approval) organized by the Southern Scrabble League. it will be held on the 11th of June 2023 at the air conditioned Samoda hall in Galle. The venue can accommodate only 80 participants thus the
will be accepted with the following priority:
1. All players with a Sri Lanka national rating (non provisional)
2. All WESPA rated players
3. Proviionally rated players
4. Unrated players.
As the ratings rules of the federation call for at least 40% of the players to be either WESPA rated or nationally rated, the applications of unrated and provisional players will be accepted based on the number of applications recieved. As such players will be notified after registration on wether their application has been accepted or not. Accepted players are required to complete payment before the 9th of June 2023. Applications close on the 8th of June.
The tournament will be nine rounds of swiss with no lagged draw and will start at 8:30 am. A player may meet the same opponent at most twice.
